You say that, but there are elements of the support who just pre judge on first glance. I experienced it first hand at qpr last season and to be honest it is off putting. Of course the types who do that I don't and wouldn't want to associate with to be honest, but to have yourself openly questioned and feel the need to justify yourself is unpleasant.
I'm sure it is, and anyone doing that needs to wind their neck in and stop being one of life's perennial dickheads.

Hahaha, well said indeed.

I have been absolutely destroyed at work this week by rags who were more interested in seeing the half and half's at our place than them actually winning the game.

Maybe it's because of all the years I have taken the piss out of them for the exact same thing, I don't know. I couldn't believe it, expected a lot of gloating but this issue seems to be their #1 priority and actually made the derby for them.

They need to get their priorities right then!

As much as I've taken the piss out of them about the composition of their support in the past, I'd always make a far bigger deal of gloating about actually beating them.

Perhaps they have got their priorities right.

What is going to mould the future of the club and what being a City supporter means the most? Losing one hard fought game to them via a lucky, deflected goal? Or having the club take a deliberate decision that their priority will be to shaft long standing fans in order to make sure that plenty of idiots looking for a day out get into the stadium in their place.

This time next year last week's result will be pretty irrelevant, one way or another. But if City continue to exclude proper fans in favour of numpties, then what it means to be a City fan will still be fundamentally altered.
