4 or 5 decades of experiance over me,oh right let's see....you must have either had,or nearly had the telegramme from the Queen by now then,because that would make you at least 95 pushing 105 then.

Obviously a woman who stands on a sugar pedestal of her own importance by arrogantly presuming you are older than me,which by the way doesn't gain you any brownie points or make you right.In fact it actually makes you appear rather sad and childish that you openly admit you write stuff on a website to wind somebody up,something i would expect of a 15 year old,not a woman of 4 or 5 decades of so called experiance.

Now it might work with your kids or grandkids but it doesn't wash here.Of course i will respond when a childish person names me in a public forum and admits they post to wind me up.

I would take your half and half scarves and go back to watching the soaps,or better still get a Stockport/City one and support Stockport,they could do with the money and from my experiance of the majority of their fans i have encountered,you would fit in rather nicely.

I am wondering if we have a substantial number of season ticket holders who are selling their match tickets for profit, possibly through the viagragogo or whatever the ticket touting company is called. Anyone have evidence this is happening or am I wide of the mark here?
Suppose all they need to sell is ten matches and they have paid for the season ticket.

I wish!! Seriously i miss a lot of games due to work but i keep my season ticket going anyway.I put 3 games up for sale on the viagragogo site and didn't sell one,in spite of all 3 games being sold out.I have now given up and will just leave the seat empty as per normal.

I'm in the same boat as you Paul, some seasons I miss a lot of games due to work (work shifts 4 on 4 off) but keep my ST going, If I can't make I'll pass it to one of my Blue mates for free who I know won't dick about or smoke in the bogs or owt getting me a ban or my head chopped off by Flecther, I'd rarther the seat not be empty but refuse to use rip off sites like Viagogo, at least doing it my way I know who's sat in my seat.

I have to laugh when people come on threads and say things like "I'm a southerner/I've got a half/half scarf........am I plastic **** too?" If you're a lifelong Blue you should be secure enough in yourself to recognise that they're not talking about people like you; they're talking about the sort who treat a City match like most of us would treat going to the tennis at Wimbledon - a day out at a sport you have no particular interest in and where you aren't even slightly bothered what the outcome is.

That said, I agree with most on this thread and indeed your own comments. Match day attendance does not generate profit for the club, so it pains me to see people who have no affinity for the club. The corporate areas seem big enough, leave It there.

You say that, but there are elements of the support who just pre judge on first glance. I experienced it first hand at qpr last season and to be honest it is off putting. Of course the types who do that I don't and wouldn't want to associate with to be honest, but to have yourself openly questioned and feel the need to justify yourself is unpleasant.

I'm sure it is, and anyone doing that needs to wind their neck in and stop being one of life's perennial dickheads.

It shows a complete lack of respect. I've often defended these sort of people by saying I'd happily go to watch a Barca v Madrid match or Yankees v Red Sox game while on holiday if given the chance, but I'd have the common fucking decency not to behave like a complete ignorant bellend in the process.

Nail on the head, especially if it's a match between 2 teams where there's a genuine rivalry but even if it's not then a bit of commonsense should prevail. If I was going to watch Barca v Real, I'd get behind Barca if I was in the Barca end or Real if I was in their end.

4 of us (3 blues and a red) went to Munich for the Oktoberfest in 2008 and while we were there we took in a Bundesliga 2 match between 1860 Munich and Ingolstadt at the Allianz Arena. We got tickets for the 1860 end and naturally supported them during the game. It never entered our heads that we should support the opposing team as it's just not the done thing and it would only serve to piss off those around us anyway.

When we beat United 6-1 at their gaff last season, after the final whistle I was astonished to see a small group of what looked like oriental fans in their main stand laughing and joking and taking photographs of each other. Regardless of their origin, they surely couldn't have been genuine United fans because no genuine fan of any club would react in such a way immediately after such a humiliating home defeat to their local rivals.

This is one of the reasons I stopped going to games once we moved to Eastlands.

Yes its nice to have some success but I would have preferred to have it with the City of old.

Started watching City in the late 1960s. Did the 74, 76, 81 finals etc.. many many aways in the 70s, 80s,. Hitched it, specials, national express and big helens coach, did the coolcats thing. All thats gone, The clubs lost its soul and become just a greedy buisness with no real concern any more for its real fans.
