Tickets for Monday

I queued for about 20 mins after the game to be told 'only two per person' when we got to the window because of the demand. Good job I passed another window where no-one was waiting and got my other two.

'fans' Like you are a disgrace!

Hahahahah! I did it 3 times!!!!

Ooh you naughty boy! Sorry I didn't go to the window next to that as well lol.

Found myself standing behind Ms FuzZy in the queue. Small world hey!

disgrace, typical unorganised city as always, queues were massive, if i waited i would have had to miss part of the game. I dont see why all season ticket holders cant just get in anyway, have them passes for none season ticket holders

I don't think I'd worry, they mentioned more would be available at 9 tomorrow and then throughout the week at both the ticket office and Arndale shop.

Was mention of old players being around plus a fireworks display but the open top bus is meant to take 2 and half hours, so those in the ground are gonna be mighty bored waiting around that long.

A complete and utter farce!!!!!

Whoever is responsible for organising that tonight must have no concept of how people would react whatsoever.

Why not just hand everyone a ticket upon entering the ground. There's usually two or three stewards stood there doing fuck all and having a natter with people they know as they go in at each turnstile anyway.

Then open it up to everyone else tomorrow.

The reason they didn't do that is the same reason that they didn't get the cup out tonight. They are desperate to get as many people inside the ground as possible on Monday evening, spending money.

Nothing to do with respect for Stoke (who couldn't give a flying fuck about it) or wanting to allow everyone a chance to attend. Everything to do with a desperation to get 40,000, or however many they want, spending on Monday.

The stupid thing is that if they had any idea about the fans at all then they would know that they will probably easily get that amount anyway. Without the "quick, quick, take four tickets and give them to anyone you know" bullshit. More to the point, they would be going to people who deserve them too.

Every dickhead and his dog around Manchester will be getting hold of the thousands given out tonight.

Joke organisation of queueing too. Which idiot thought that a couple of windows would be enough to serve 47,000 fans?

Great match, great night, great atmosphere. This was a joke though and primarily motivated by Garry Cook's obsession with getting people spending (imo obviously).

Queued for ages up joe mercer way, then tickets ran out so i went to the window and the woman said they are printing more off but we don't know how long they will be. Waited til some more arrived bit of argy bargy in the queue, then i asked for 4 got told i could only have two, my mate got two and her lad who also has a season card got two. would have been great if i could have got a couple more but at least we'll all (the ones who have been to fucking everything) be able to go.

How did you know it was FuzZy? Has she got fuzzy hair? Is she made of fuzzy felt? Is she? is she?

I got mine at about 7pm, the guy asked how many i wanted, i said 2 - even though i had 2 seasoncards on me so according to rules i found out about later i could have got 8!, so i got 2. Why they're giving them out all over the place is beyond me.. Wish i'd got 4 though now so i could help someone out on here.

-- Wed May 18, 2011 12:59 am --

Have they announced that for sure though - the amount of time it'll take to get the team there? I thought an 8pm start would mean 2 hours of the bus, then into the stadium for the rest of the "party"?

Bus starts at 6pm yes? And they let you in the ground from 6.30pm? So it's hard to see both if you don't want to be stuck on the top tier by running in at almost 8 (what with it being unreserved seats)??!

Queued up before game only to find out they only printed 10000 and they'd all gone. Was told to come back after game, when I told them I had a train to catch back home at 2215 and didn't have time, would there be any other way of getting them as I don't live in Manchester but wanted to come up anyway, was told, "haven't a clue".

What a joke!

Got 4, went 5 mins after the game, probably que'd for 15 mins, can't wait for it now.

I got mine before the game off those Steward like people who have the remote machines to check Seasoncards and stuff. Asked me if I wanted 4 and when I responded "just the one, for me" I was looked at like I was a fruitcake.

People must have been asking for 4 even though they might not necessarily use them.
I'm unsure what I am going to do, but one thing is for sure I'm sitting in my seat no matter what time I get to the ground ;)

i was surprised to be handed 16 ( yes 16!!) tickets for my families 4 season cards, about 2 hours before kick off.....I handed the girl 11 of them back, no point in genuine blues missing out...strange that they went with 4 per card.

Good for you Sir.

I twigged on late and rushed round to the ticket office after the match, to see fellow blues ecstatic to have handfuls. By that stage, you couldn't even get in the queue. Any polite request for a "spare" was ignored. "No we need all 8" etc.

The grabbing hands grab all they can.
Nice one City, another monumental fck up. Shame on people who've took more than they need.

LOL! I spotted Bluebird1 behind me and knew her from photo's on here so introduced myself.

Yes Glen, I battle with the ghd's everyday, only to find I waste my time when a bit of rain gets on the barnet!

I just loved the way I charged out the after game thinking they were giving them out at the shop, then came back out and saw a huge queue and ended up back near where I came out of in first place!

Doh!
