Stoke tickets are available to the open market, games like LIverpool, Chelsea etc you as good as need the new Cityzens card (Old blue member) to secure a ticket for these games, cost is £35 for the season.

Not sure if it is 100% true but the guy sitting next to me at Liverpool game said that his seasoncard for next season was going up to over £1000, he sits on East Stand Level 2, bit steep if true.
When tkts go on open sale you only need your old membership number (purchase history),you don't need a new Citizen card.
does that mean people just pay the price of the ticket and no membership?

Yes, and only a handful of games don't go to open sale, the derby, the last game . For some reason, possibly security Liverpool went on open sale to non members but you needed previous purchase history.
The priority window for Cityzen members is usually only 2 or 3 days, before they go to open sale.

Blimey! You need previous history now. If I turn up at the ticket office and bore them with tales of the Charlton 5-1 in '85 and the 5-1 Derby in '89, will that help me get a ticket?

World's gone mad [again]...

I have to say, I feel less affinity to the club now than I did a couple of years ago. It seems like a policy to distance themselves from the fans so they can charge more / thrust advertisments in your face. I hope I never get to the point where I won't renew, but after straining my eyes to see the game on Monday, trying to block out the flashing banner adverts in my face, I kind of felt this could be the beginning of the end where it's not enjoyable anymore.

I'm starting to feel like I'm on a slippery slope too. It's worrying.

I said two years ago that what was happening at city happened at united 15 years and took pelters for it.

I hope the club are reading this forum, tickets too expensive and driving the real fans away and who the Fuc@ thought those lights are a good idea. All the signs are there we are heading in the wrong direction in terms of how we are treating the fans. The football is out of this world but keep the fans with the club for fuck sake.

No fear this season, bar the big games there will be plenty of seats available, god help us if we play some one like QPR on a weds night. There would normally be 3 of us there tomorrow, sad that tomorrow it's only me, and the champs Lge well £250 for 3 games they can forget it, tickets, petrol, etc not even worth having the membership cards anymore as there will be loads of tickets floating around like the 13k spares for Wembley 3 weeks ago, times are changing.

I have just had a look online and counted the seats left still available to buy online. There are more blocks showing than you are actually able to click on to buy seats. There are 62 seats left and 95% are all single seats.

From the OS.

Interestingly, Chelsea has already sold out.

The club will only take note if there are 1000's of empty seats. They will stomach a few hundred seats for the lesser matches.

What will be interesting is the take up from the 7000 waiting list when fans who have paid their £100(?) deposits don't get offered the £299 season tickets.

Nearly every game will sell out more or less, certain cup games may not but Prem games will

Blame Platini and FFP. I doubt that The Sheikh will give a flying fuck whether tickets are £50, £250 or £1. In the grand scheme of things, the additional revenue will have little impact on his financial position. However, for FFP purposes, the additional income from tickets, advertising and merchandising will be critical to ‘fulfil the criteria’.
