I’m sure it may have been discussed at some point, but this whole you have to be a member to purchase tickets nonsense takes the P.

Understandable the club needs as many income streams as possible to pay their bits and bobs but match tickets make up a very small percentage of it and are pricey enough as it is! Over £100 for a membership and ticket for spurs.

Just a moan really, ticket prices being expensive is becoming the norm and it’s getting worse.

If you’re talking about the Matchday level of membership, you do get a fiver off the (admittedly sometimes quite pricey) match ticket prices, so go half a dozen times and you’ve got it back.
And let’s be honest, the way we play, who wouldn’t want to go half a dozen times!

Optimistic and accurate way of looking at things I suppose!

Long may it continue (the way were are playing not ticket prices)

What were you expecting to pay?

I thought the site had thrown a wobbler the other day. Went on for Spurs tickets and could see Palace ones still available. No general sale though - member only.

So general sale is a thing of the past?

Our capacity is around 54,000. 3,000 is for away fans if they take up their full allocation. That leaves 51,000. I'm not sure how many season cards we allocate but it must be at least 36,000-40,000. That could leave 11,000 maximum for sale to members etcetera. For popular games I'd say it would sell out to members. I'm seeing a lot more of what look like tourists at every game so at long last, in spite of a vicious media working against us, we have become big box office. Forest at home last night looked packed out, this would be a game we'd struggle to sell out at this time of the year and against low key unknown to the tourists opposition.

I think given Pep is here, we are scoring lots of goals and the Haaland effect most games will sell out. I agree though ticket prices are ridiculous for non seasoncard holders. The dreaded fuel increases looming may have a big impact once winter comes.

I did notice what looked like tourists last night when the camera was scanning the stands.

I only get to two, maybe three games a season and used to wait for them to come on open sale so not paying whatever the membership fee is. That option is now gone.

Luckily we have season ticket holder friends who sometimes have work commitments who then give us their cards.

Given our success over the last fourteen years, Pep being our manager and the style of football we play I'm amazed every single game isn't fully sold out. For myself I'd say this has been due to the hostile media coverage. They have almost ignored our successes and a whole host of trolls and so called journalists like Harris and the like, have fed lie after lie to the public and tried to smear our club and it's worked. Eventually though people start to see through it and their own eyes the outstanding attacking football we are playing and want to be a part of it. Perhaps some foreign commentators and journalists are better than the morons we have to endure here, hence the increase in tourists. We are the hottest ticket in town at the moment.

None of that suggests why they’d remove open sale tickets, of which there were plenty last season for most games.

The way I see the tourists is they attend one game, milk them club shop and take a load of selfies. Are they purchasing the memberships for that game? I find it hard to believe from last season to this we have amassed that many match-attending fans that they have saw fit to get rid of open sale tickets.

I might be reading it all wrong, it was just surprising last week when the ‘buy tickets’ tab was available for Palace just a few days away, but it was for members only. I’d actually gone on for Spurs tickets.
