Bit harsh on Kova, isn't it? He's 31. Gundo, on the other hand, is 34. I thought Mateo was playing quite well again towards the end of the season. Gundo's race, in my view, is run. If he does actually stay in a playing capacity, I'd expect him to be playing the odd match here and there, or bits of matches, and increasingly stepping into a backroom coaching staff role (which would please me very much).
That's what I meant, thought the post I was replying to was suggesting them all staying for another year.We won't need to register anyone (other than for the CWC) until the end of August, and all 3 will definitely be registered then, others won't be here by then, I'm sure the club will get it right.
It's Bluemoon - look no further then the Doku thread.Weird that people prefer Gundogan to Kovacic who carried us last season. Kovacic was the best out of those 3 where 2 have to leave
So save the cash for next summer. No need for another midfielder.Next summer the only ones at the club will be:
Rodri, Nico, Reijnders, and O’Reilly.
Wouldn’t class them as central midfielders.Missed off Cherki, Grealish, Nunes and McAtee.
... Echeverri? He must be thrilledMissed off Cherki, Grealish, Nunes and McAtee.
I hope your right, though ot might need a fully fit and back to normal Rodri to be absolutely sure....fingers crossed

Will need to be far more than 1-2This type of thinking got us into our situation in the first place.
One new central midfielder is absolutely not enough and we’ve done the right thing getting another high quality signing in.
We can now focus on letting 1-2 players go by the end of summer.
