is he levels above Gundo and Bernardo? if not cant see Pep benching those two for him regularly...
My Mrs is Italian and her brother an AC nut, he reckons he’s the second coming of Christ and is fuming at the prospect of losing him.

Seen him in a few games myself, he’s quick, gets himself about, beautiful poise and balance about him. Scored 10 league goals from centre midfield this year.

Looks built for the prem.

I hope this guy will be good but it’s always a concern signing players from seria a.

Exhibit a

Going to be called crazy for this but Mctominay was misprofiled at the rags. Conte now has him as a 8 but playing further forward and he’s been their best player and instrumental in them winning
them the league. This is one of the goals he scored tonight. He’s been a revelation at Napoli

Those three are all better than the three noted in the tweet imo. That midfield three would dominate Napoli’s
McTominay is underrated and equal level to the red scouse players. Billing has started one match this season for Napoli so not sure why he is included. Gilmour started 13 matches so not regular starter. Lobotka and Anguissa are the other starters but lets not let truth ruin a good social media story.

I'm probably going to get slaughtered for this but I always (and still) think McTominay is a better player than he is credited with. A rag **** though, so a non starter.

Labotka is a player I know quite well and definitely isn't suited to the PL.

Agree with you regarding McTominay. He is not stylistically great watch but a very effective player.

Somehow doesn't look so much of a **** in sky blue.

No shock that the rags fucked up.

He was always most dangerous arriving late into the box with an eye for goal.

Box to box, and a good engine, never a 6, you take away the strengths in his game.

Thankfully they haven't a clue.

He did always have a goal in him, but yes the standard in Italy is not what it is in the Prem.

So we need to beat careful

he's seems to be the only transfer i've seen when the fanbase isn't split on this one everyone raves about him can't say i've ever watched him but ac milan fans are annoyed he's leaving so i take that as a good sign

The standard in the Premier League hasn't been great but it is as always a phyiscally demanding one.

People overplay this shite about the league a player plays in. If you can play, you can play, end of. Tonali one of the best midfielders in the PL came from Milan.

We bought Philips and Nunes from the PL.

We bought Kompany from the Belgium league.

Inter have been the best team in the CL over the last 3 seasons making 2 finals, and they gave us a hell of a game when this City team was at its absolute peak.

There's some seriously good players in Serie A

the issue with phillips and with nunes when playing in midfield is the system isn't right for the players phillips can't play a lone 6 and nunes is a transitional midfield doesn't really suit a possession based one but he's skill set has allowed him to play decent as a rb there's a reason this inter team is so good even though the average age of the squad is 30+ is down to inzagi having a system that gets the best out of the players he's got

Hamburg have had their problems, but they didn’t fall that far. ;-)

I agree with your main point, however. There are many talented players in such ‘lesser’ leagues, and it’s a costly mistake, literally, thinking otherwise.
