Tijjani Reijnders

His only weakness, that I kinda already knew, while watching the game is he doesn't track back that much.

But that is just something that Pep can drill into him.

He has all the technical qualities that prime Gundogan showed (as well as that defensive weakness).

That time Madrid got Mbappe on a free and everyone else was told to go home...

As Pellegrini proved going up against Suarez and Coutinho, it's the orchestra that wins, not the instrument.
You could easily argue we had better players than Suarez and Coutinho. Certainly Coutinho.

We had Yaya Touré, David Silva and Sergio Agüero

And also this season Madrid had Mbappe, Bellingham, Vinicius Jnr and won nowt.

Agreed we had a better team than the dippers, although Suarez scored shitloads that season.

Yep, this is pretty much wrapped up so…
Great signing, excited to see him in blue

⚫️ Tijjani #Reijnders just couldn't leave #SanSiro yesterday after #MilanMonza . First the greeting and the heartfelt hug, with all his teammates. Then the long wait for the arrival of Xavien (his son).

️ A few minutes ago Tijji posted two more stories on his Instagram profile showing his return to the pitch when there was no one left at San Siro

But does he do short sideways and backwards running?

There's no point in being fast and direct in a Pep team.

Pretty sure Pep has managed fast direct players - Centurions team was packed with them. Difficult against low block every game but I am confident we will see different approach next season.
