Tim Vickery opinions on Moreno & G.Jesus

Walter take it take it take it

Did he get into videos because of the fanzone or was he doing stuff and that's why he was on fanzone

Definitely the former I'm a teacher in the real world. I posted this video in particular as it's not about me or my opinions in the slightest but offers an informative opinion about our new signings. Those that slate Tim Vickery about the Paulinho V's Fernandinho debate have got to remember that Fernandinho had disappeared from the South American radar. He was plying his trade in an East European backwater and wasn't involved with the Brazilian national squad, one of the main reasons touted why he joined City was to get on the Brazilian radar for the WC.

I remember me saying Sterling was gonna be a better signing than Martial last summer (I still hold out some hope) but Martial had a better season than Sterling so I'm down in that debate so far ha ha. Cheers for all the kind words as I loved doing it.

And about saying Funes Mori would not be able to play in the Premier League? Respect to you mate but I listen to Vickery every week on H and J and he doesn't impress me at all when you hear him regularly. Not just with these errors - anybody expressing an opinion risks that - but he says exactly the same thing so often it's like a very elderly relative - he really needs to make a note of what he said to TS listeners.

Personally I think his famous Paulinho opinion was solely down to his pro-Tottenham and pretty anti-City (at the time, not now) leanings. Natural response was to dismiss the signing of Fernandinho, who I have no doubt he hadn't seen play any more than me since he went to Ukraine or wherever it was.

Watching the videos of both players I actually thought Moreno looked as good as Gabriel Jesus. His balance looks amazing, low centre of gravity, pace, through balls. He looks a cracking player and we only got him for £5m!

Well done boys that was an excellent watch and respect to Tim Vickery for coming on and giving us some insight into our new South American boys..anyone who gives up there own time free of charge is alright in my book...it was free wasn't it?

Really good to hear. I think he's spot on about risk in both these signings, too: two very young 19 year olds who have had a lot of success early and perhaps have a lot of growing up to do - in addition to the footballing development required in playing in the Premiership.

And as VIckery says, too, the risk is lower for the club than for the player.

Very excited, and hope the club and Pep are able to help them develop their temperament, too.
