Ferna and Aguero both deserved to see Red - fact. Fabrigas, Chalabah and Sideshow Bob also deserved red cards also - fact. If SSB had gone in the first place then I'm fairly certain the other offences wouldn't have happened.
Taylor had a shocker, but the worst the FA will do is make him 4th official for some mid-table game at the weekend.
I think corruption or cheating are probably the wrong words to use, but bias (conscious or unconscious) certainly comes into play week in, week out. If every refereeing decision was based entirely on the objective views, then maybe the PL table would be different.
Something has to be done, but individual clubs sticking their heads above the parapet is probably the wrong thing to do as the FA will likely hammer them with a big fine. I think all clubs have to get together before something is done. I somehow doubt this will happen as some clubs always seem to benefit from poor refereeing performances (Fergie time was no myth).
The problem is, there are too many external influences that, like it or not seem to have a direct influence on the FA and its officials, such as Sky/BT, pundits, directors and program editors (what highlights are shown/not shown and what incidents are discussed/not discussed), newspapers, whining managers, etc. (Edit: Oops, forgot to add betting syndicates and brown envelopes to that list).
