Word to the wise love - stick to boring on about that fat racist **** who used to be in the Smiths and leave racing to those of us who love and understand it.
Or find another futile cause to champion.
Wow, I've never been called a 'bimbo' and 'love' before!
Words to the wise to you, if you wan't to call Morrissey a racist, I wonder why The Smiths played a benefit gig against Apartheid? Or he wrote a song with the lyrics of 'Mexico' or why he donated a large sum to Love Music Hate Racism?
Leave discussing the Smiths / Morrissey to those who love and understand it ;)

leighton said:There is no chance that they would be mad enough to ban horse racing jumps. Take this festival of jump racing going on now. The amount of money this meeting generates for the local businesses is just way to much over 55000 people were there on Tuesday the same today thats something else. How many of those people are using the local hotels , B&Bs and pubs while they stay.
So are you saying that if the jumps were banned and Cheltenham became a flats race, the same amount of people wouldn't go?
brilliant post. Post of the week.nijinsky's fetlocks said:TO THE OP;
I shall try and keep this simple,as you clearly are.
I didn't start the 'doesn't the sun shine out of Morrissey's arse' thread.
You did.
I then contributed to it,because I am a forumite on bluemoon and that's kinda how this forum thing works.
One of the reasons I contributed is because I saw the Smiths a lot,and have also seen the attention seeking queen a few times also,so I guess that entitles me to an informed opinion.
Oh,and whilst we are on the subject of racism,do you remember the shite that your poster boy came out with over the 'Bengali In Platforms' furore?
See,I know my shit about Moz,which is more than you do on racing.
Are you still on board with this?
Good.
Now,you started a thread on national hunt racing, and it is pretty clear from your posts that you know precious little about it.
By contrast,I know a fair bit about it,as my father was an on course bookmaker,I have part-owned horses myself, and I attend a couple of meetings per week, and have done for over thirty years.
I have witnessed my horses having to be put to sleep, and had to console jockeys, trainers and fellow owners who have been in tears.
I too have cried.
This is because we care passionately about them - they are not just a cash cow,as less than one in a hundred owners ever make a profit from jumps racing.
Race horses are incredibly well looked after and treated, often better than a fair few humans you could come across.
By all means start a debate about issues within racing,if you actually do care about the welfare of horses - I would welcome such debate.
But in future please try and do it through informed opinion and fact, rather than emotive scare stories and towing the party line of some fat, washed up clown who would probably advertise burgers if it gained him column inches.
