Time to get real!

I would like to know what other players Hughes has put in a bid for?

After all the promise of 'lists' and 'surprise signings', we now find that the 'list' contained Craig Bellamy and RSC! And suddenly a lot of my fellow posters are now thinking that these players are just what we need.

Me, im not buying into it.

As the club is happy to let us know through the media that they have put in bids for the afore-mentioned brace of mediocrity, im sure they would have smashed down walls to let us know that they had put in bids for the likes of Kaka, Villa, etc etc etc. But as we have heard nothing concrete, i am assuming that the bids were never made.

Why Not???

OK, so being realistic, maybe they wouldn't come to City in the current climate, but wouldnt it have been appeasing to us City fans knowing that the City management team had at least had-a-go?

And if, as it seems, that CB and RSC are the level of player that was always topping Hughes list, then he is way out of his depth here and way off the mark as to what his employers will be expecting of him.

..not to mention that if we do sign Mr Bellamy he will be quickly anointed as the messiah and he would have been top of everyones wishlist really I mean Kaka? Nowt special and can he hack it the PL? Cue lots of nodding heads and murmurs of agreement
