Football fans are some of the most fickle people you could come across, Bentley does have fantastic ablity on the ball and in my opinion is of a good enough standard to play in this team on a regular basis.

His personality off the field has at times let him down and is the one major reason why he not in the England squad consistantly. When both were at Blackburn, Hughes got the maximum from him and quite frankly looked brilliant. I believe, just like Bellamy, that our manager would get the same level of performance from him again if brought to the club.

While the Silva's, Ribery's & Messi's of this world are all players we would prefer in our squad, an in-form Bentley really could do a very decent job for us.

I'm not a fickle fan - I just don't rate Bentley and don't want City's starting line up to consist of all Hughes ex-Blackburn players. Oh but I forgot - they did finish top 4 - how silly of me.
