Time to move the family stand

I agree - my first ever games at Maine Road was in the Main Stand and as a young 6 year old I was transfixed with watching the chaos in the kippax - I couldn’t wait to get to go in that stand and be amongst it… I think this was one of the first things that hooked me on watching live football and city

My first game was the 6-2 win against Chelsea.

My Sister’s Boyfriend at the time took me.

I was sat on the Kippax wall.

I could hear the roar and songs from the Kippax behind me.

Years later I migrated to the top left corner of the Kippax where the singers were located next to the away fans.

44 years later I‘m still stood next to the away fans in 115.

Old habits diehard.

Not sure empty seats are exclusive to the Family Stand tbh.
I agree with you on this, but I think if we could get two standing areas on level 1 behind both goals, with an emphasis on young adults in North Stand Level 1, then that would be a massive step in the right direction to improve the atmosphere.

Let me put it this way.

Can you imagine United creating a family stand in the lower tier of the Stretford End?

Can you imagine Livetpool creating a family stand in the lower section of the KOP?

Can you imagine Chelsea creating a family stand in the lower tier of the Shed End?

Can you imagine Villa creating a family stand in the lower tier of the Holte End?

Can you imagine Newcastle creating a family stand in the lower tier of the Gallowgate End?

Can you imagine Everton creating a family stand in the lower tier of the Gwladys End?

Perm the rest of the PL clubs.

Is there another PL club that puts their family stand in the lower tier behind the goal apart from City?

Like most PL clubs and stadiums we have an end which is split between home and away fans.

Unlike most other PL clubs and stadiums we don't have a *home end* full of City fans who want to support the team vocally.

Until Mansour, Khldoon and Soriano give us a proper home end filled with City fans by age, demographics, and the desire to support the team vocally, and can afford to do that with affordable tickets, the atmosphere at the Etihad will never change and improve.

The family stand should be moved to the North West corner
Blocks 131 132 232 233 & 330
And if there's demand, sacrifice 231 as well

Is this still the family stand ?

I know several people who purchased tickets this season & none of them take kids with them or have kids tickets

Sort of?
Maybe?
Is?
Isn't?
Could be?
Possibly?
Nobody really knows.
And once again, like on many other matters that effect the fans, the club isn't saying.

Personally I think the answer to your question is yes and no.

Sad but I fear is true
