Time to Stop This

Well personally I agree with most of what you have said here. Although I feel a graet shame has been brought upon our great club. never before in the history of our club have we been dragged so low. khaldoon and Cook should be ashamed of themselfs, they have disgraced our colours and personally i will never forgive them. No matter what people thought of mark hughes he gave 110% every working day to the cause and he didn't deserve to be treated in such a shameful manner.

If both these people have any respect for our club then they should resign and apolagise for their disgraceful act.

CTID.....

My heart hangs heavy this Christmas.

Vicky.

PS. This is no dis-respect to our new manager, I wish him all the best.

You never lived through the Swales years did you?

Our club had no honour to lose, and nobody can really say what happened on Saturday, it's all PR bollocks. Just forget it, and move on. Let's see if you are asking Khaldoon to resign on Cup Final day. For some reason, I think not.

People resigning isn't going to solve anything and causes more trouble, especially if it was Khaldoon as the Sheik would probably go with him, just bloody move on.

Yes I did live through the swales times. at least then we had some dignity!!!!!

What planet are you on?

He wrecked our club, with a proper show of classless behaviour. Not sacking a manager classless, I mean fucking the club about just so you can be a member of the FA, classless. Oh, and buying players just because United wanted them classless.

Swales stripped the dignity from the club then, and we have never regained it since.

Ok guys and girls,

We've had a constant 18 months of being at each other's throats about Mark Hughes, and his management of our club. Everybody on the forum wishes that it could have ended a different way, but it didn't, so let's try and move on. I'm sure I speak for most, when I say thanks to Mark Hughes for everything that he has done, and good luck for the future.

At 4.30 today, our new manager holds his first press conference. Up until then, we can argue until we're blue in the face (hehe) about the decision to sack Hughes, the decision to appoint Mancini, and the way it was handled.
Nobody has the right to be slagging Mancini off. Maybe you think he was handed the cups at Inter, maybe you don't, maybe you think he is good enough, maybe you don't (wear sunscreen though). All that matters is that he has never managed a game for City. Until he has, let's all reserve judgement on him.

City fans are currently ashamed of City fans due to some of the threads and posts on here. For whatever reasons they have, it is still a daft thing to do. We are literally all in this together. I slightly envy but also pity those who feel that they could just stop supporting City because of a decision that they disagreed with. I can't, and I know that most of you can't. Saturday is a ritual, and not one that can be broken by Peter Swales, Franny Lee/Alan Ball, Stuart Pearce, Kevin Keegan, Shinawatra, nor Mancini/Cook/Al-Mubarak.

We are all here as one, and with the bastards sniping at us from every possible angle, we should be looking at putting up a front of positivity and solidarity. Nobody is happy with the way that things went down with Hughes, but at 4.30 when Mancini opens his mouth, it's time to stop the barracking about Hughes, or the board, and get back to our bread and butter, which is supporting our football team through thick and thin.

We've been through worse times before, but never in City's history can I remember us not backing a new manager. Even Hughes and Ball got the backing of the fans. Mancini deserves our support. It's a clean slate for City, and yet another new era. Let's remember who we are and stop all of this shit we are slinging at each other, after 4.30.

Time to come together and stop the bitching and infighting. Totally agree

Agree 100%. We will all have our own view on this event. I have alot of simpathy for Hughes. But now is the time to support the new manager and the players against Stoke.

99.9% of the shit/drivel that has been written on this board over the last 36 hours has been an utter disgrace, has made me more ashamed than us sacking "poor mark".

i do though realise that 99.9% of the 99.9% shite written is written by either kids or wums or rags.

come on blues, I've never been so excited to be blue!

Totally agree, great post!!

Ive already forgot about Hughes, we were guna get slated whenever n however we got rid of him, however, im glad its done and now cant wait for Stoke!

looking forward to Roberto doing his stuff now!!

could not agree more with the op, yes things could have been handled better, but I must ask you all. how many of us that sat through games with fulham, Burnley etc were tearing their hair out.........on saturday i dont think there was one person in the crowd that would not willingly have kicked the arse of the majority of the players and staff for another piss poor performance. when we were 2-0 up we were all buzzing, and we couldn't believe what happened after the first 10 minutes. this was not down to management and coaching i was evidently down to proffessional footballers that were failing to carry out their basic job description. unfortunately for Mark et al the buck will generaly stop with the management and they have paid the ultimate price for players having their heads up their arse's on a regular basis.....if i felt i wanted to strangle them on saturday, how do you think the buisnessmen who have put hundredes of millions into the club felt, as the op said, they made a descision now lets shake it off and push on.........i for one will still be there screaming my head in support of a club than runs through my veins.......come on city

I know we're out of subject here but since you mentioned Khaldoon Mubarak and the disgrace that you think he brought to the club; well we ain't big fans of him either here in AbuDhabi but; we are big fans of Manchester City! He did not do any disgraceful act; this man is trying his best for the sake of the club and everyone knows that. Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed put his trust in this man and we believe he will do 110%. I dislike many comments on the forums but i would say just believe in the club and the decisions that are made. Mark Hughes was a great manager and we will not forget him and we were all shocked when he left; but maybe it's time to look forward. All the best and well said there "Damocles" there is nothing more to add.
A big and proud fan of Citizens! peace.
