Time to unleash AJ?

He's getting there.

Mancini hasn't finished moulding him just yet, he's got the skill, of that there's no doubt, it's up top where he needs the help and who better to sort that than Mancini?

When Roberto's finished with him he'll be a fantastic player.

Absolutely. Did you guys see the moment in the match, a short while after johnson's goal, when he helped out with the defence and mancini started shouting "Adam! Adam!" and then gave him a thumbs up? I liked that. It showed how much Bobby appreciates johnson taking aboard his advice and improving as a player. Every time I see johnson play, he is only getting better.

Did you notice all the outfield players ran up to him? Only Hart wasn't near that corner flag congratulating him. Team spirit or what - that didn't get a mention on MOTD did it?

I love to see us win, but I love to see the team react like that more so. I knows it an old cliche but winning isn't everything and seeing your team so pleased for another player is heartwarming. It shows that they are what they are supposed to be - a team. The rest comes naturally after that is achieved.

With the greatest respect to my fellow Bluemooners, I do think Mancini knows what he's doing with individuals and the team as a unit. Leave him to it and just worry about your last minute Christmas shopping - Bobbys got it all under control at the Blue Camp ;-)

I think he deserves a few run outs however i don't believe he is a full game player; Johnson is a great super sub.

I have a feeling if we were to go in for Lavezzi or Hazard or anyone on the lines of that kind of player his days will sure be numbered in my opinion.

He has 5 goals in 7 games along with a few assists and has hardly featured all season, he has signed a contract extension as well so we will easily get £20 - £25m for him from another English club. If that sort of money gets put down on paper i can see City selling!

I have that feeling too. At the moment though he's a great weapon to bring on to change things up. I'd be shitting myself if I was a fullback, knackered already and then see him come on for the last 20 or 30 mins.

I thought he flattered to deceive last night. Great goal but drifted out of the game. He has so much talent so I expect more from him. That's not to say that he didn't play well. I still think he's better coming on from the bench in our more important games although a run in the team would give him the chance to prove otherwise.

My thoughts as well.....great player but just needs to up hiw work rate, watch Nasri, Silva and Aguero, the work they get trhough is a lot more and this is what AJ needs to aspire to

AJ is a great squad player to have, i should imagine that Lombardo must be working with him a fair bit. If he becomes as good as him he will do.

if anyone can say that AJ drifted out of the game vs stoke (who incidentally touched the ball more than united did vs barca, but only slightly), then obviously he has some work to do....

what if he put that shift in vs Chelsea, or Arsenal?

To be honest I thought he played better when he first joined us. The goals werent always as spectacular but the overall play was far superior.
