Tino Livramento

Where's it been reported that talks were ongoing?
If certain " in the knows" have maintained that not only is there interest but that a deal may get done before we play CWC it is reasonable to assume that some contact has taken place. ;-)

Sorry, I've missed that - other than Romano saying he's no1 on the list, who else has said anything?

Every season we have people on here saying we should sign a conventional overlapping full back who can get to the byline and add assists, and every season we don't sign one. I'd love to see it because I like that sort of player but clearly Pep just doesn't see it as a priority. More often the person playing full back is a converted midfielder or centre back.

Delph, Zinchenko, Cancelo, Akanji, Ake, Nunes, O'Reilly.

The only one who could vaguely be said to have played that role was peak Walker but even then he would invert as a sweeper more often.

And he was terrible in the final third, despite often being asked to push up

If there is a deal to be done it surely involves Grealish? I'd genuinly throw in Doku as well if the Rodrygo links are genuine

Maybe Pep wants to switch it up, we certainly seem to be getting linked with full backs this time.

For me we lack any sort of decent creativity from the wide areas so I'd love to see us get a couple of quality attacking full backs.

Gvardiol for me is another on that list.

Cancelo … still a pity he couldn’t or wouldn’t continue with us.

Careful, you might get shot for mentioning he who shall not be named on here.

Never seen as much revisionism in relation to a player. Agreed that he was class for us and it’s a shame things turned sour

Guessing at a fee, £60-70m?
£45m plus a kind deal for Grealish going the other way, maybe £15-£20m. Newcastle also seems to enjoy an academy signing for PSR reasons, so maybe we will discuss some more names with them.

All though Newcastle fans probably won't initially like selling a supremely talented english full-back to another CL club, I actually think this is a pretty realistic deal. We have someone they want, they could proably replace him easy enough considering they seem to ask a little bit less from their full-backs in Howes system from what I have seen and has already been in the market for a outside right-winger and whatever price we will pay will be good for them to put into their other targets considering they have had PSR issues for a couple of years now and probably won't go mental even with CL next season.

Hope it happens, rated Livramento since he was at Southampton
