Tino Livramento

It would be unusual for Romano to post a completely ridiculous transfer suggestion if there was nothing in it.

Maybe city are willing to break the bank, maybe Tino wants it, maybe Newcastle will sell.

On the surface it's a non starter but sometimes there is something in it.

That's past tense stuff mate.. we're not buying and they're not selling. Close this pointless thread

Nonsense.

City have demonstrated more recent consistency in challenging/winning major trophies.

I don’t care whether we sign him or not, the point is that it’s a pretty uncontroversial view that a player would want to leave Newcastle to play for city.

PL teams dont let player go in the cheap even if there 1y contract left.. never mind 2. They managed to avoid cashing in on Gordon to avoid PSR, signaling that they are prepared to go a long way to avoid selling their first 11 stars.
Newcastle fans want 90+m from what Ive read lol. Hes gonna be expansive..

Newcastle would sell him to a club outside of England. They won't cut their own throats.

Of course it's not nonsense, they're not selling . City don't bully clubs into selling anymore. That kind of transfer was to put us on the map. Doesn't happen anymore.

Think you miss the point of my comment.
Not in the slightest, your point is that City haven't overtly said it. The main point of this forum is to share transfer news, stories and rumours - none of which directly comes from City, it's fed through people who have links to either the club, agents or players. Where people can make their own minds up on the validity. So it's entirely pointless to state that City haven't said that.

well if I was Newcastle I would try to not lose any important player likes of Isak, Livramento, Gumaraes etc. maybe with CL now they can hang onto them one more season.
their bench is piss weak. they need to fix that with added CL schedule, more games, more injuries, ore rotation needed.
Howe does seem like set on a first 11 and rarely changes it but cant do it with extra schedule. last time they were in CL it was a bad experience for them and they felt that in the PL too...

their defence tho is old. Schar, Burn, Tripper all 33-34 years old. Botman brutal injury prone so they did most season with a CB duo of almost 70 years of age together. how that works out with 8 more CL games for them between Septeber and January...

strange but their squad to me looks thinner than Villa. both in numbers and in quality. of course Villa brought in 3-4 decent loans in January which makes it bigger than it is.
Newcastle line up is quite good if no injuries, but bench is really poor.

to get Livramento out of there now, I think we would need to overpay seriously to do it. like 75-80m.

It's not

I’m fine walking away or not entertaining it if the initial asking price is outrageous. No need to pitch in to fund Newcastle’s transfer aspirations for next season and there has to be someone else or the level of required available for less than what would be quoted.
