The media and some of the the more flappety flapp type will now have us believe that staying in the europa will be bad for us and united will have some sort of advantage if they go out.It's kind of odd seeing as these very same people also tell us that winning is the best thing for any team. I can only think if roles were reversed then so would the standpoint on all that confidence stuff about winning football matches.No doubt all the usual headlines will be out after next weeks games. A distration from the league, a knock to the confidence, concentrate on the league and this will be for us and united whichever way the games go,the media and by the looks of it some posters on here already have their headlines and threads typed up.
If we want a period of football dominance then you had all better get ready for this sort of stuff, it's difficult to think about but I'm almost sure in the next few years at this stage of some seasons we are most likely going to be still in 3 competitions so it's all good grounding for the future and I'm sure the players will be relishing the challenge.
I'm not at all worried about the league,we've played in 4 comps and been the best team so can't see why playing in just the 2 is going to derail that.
I'd like to bet other teams are more worried about how good we are and that includes the fans,we are top of the league and with the best squad in the league if you asked most honest fans just about all would swap positions and that includes the position in the europa.
The best advise I can give is sit back relax but also be ready to bite your nails and most important prepare for the odd occasions when you just about shit your pants.
