Title Race 2020/21

I think that now that Liverpool and Everton are the only teams left with supporters at the ground it may be a big advantage.

City and Liverpool are the best two by a distance, just like the past couple of seasons, and the best defence tends to win the league (which is us) but a combination of our lack of goals and so many easy games that the Dippers can walk through without hitting top form will work against another city title. I hope you are right and I am sure we will challenge but something has to change in our favour first.
in years gone by it s very true, last season though liverpool scored fuck all goals and their winning margin`s were worse than two seasons previous. They won nearly half their games by a single goal. Goal difference helps, but it s not essential to winning the league.3 points every time and were back in the fold.

Come to think of it, Pep seems very confident. He doesn’t seem concerned with our lack of goals because of the number of chances we are creating, I think the defensive improvement since the acquisition of Dias has a lot to do with it and like you said 3 points is 3 points.

Quite a few of the rags umpteen titles were won that way, the one that really sticks in the memory is the 96 one where the focus was on Newcastle scoring hundreds of goals whilst Fergie was slowly pulling off low key 1 nils. We’ll see.
