Title Race 2020/21

Incidently, if City are now at odds of 1/20 to win the title (and yes I know the best odds are 1/14) then baring earthquake, fire and flood (we've already had pestilence) it's over.
United were something like 1/50 with 6 games to go in 2011/12 and look how that ended. So no, it's not over. I would say it's probably over for Liverpool as they're 10 points behind us, have a worse goal difference, and have played a game more plus they can't influence any more games against us as we've played them twice. However, United and Leicester are 5 and 7 points behind respectively and while they've both played a game more than us we still have to play them both.

all the early door cobwebs have been blown away and that table from 13 games was looking bad for everyone not just city. liverpool had a good start and looked good ? yes big defeat to villa but they was 4 points in front of united and 8 in front of city ? we lost our strikers and not scoring goals like we had for the past 4 seasons. it was looking bad and a long season a head

now only 9 games later its turned so so fast that we have a 5 point lead over united and 10 points over liverpool with a game in hand. but you now what that scares me a little ? because the form of the others will not keep falling like it has. city run and form is amazing and the dip by the others is just as amazing. but can city keep the form up in the next 10 games

spurs everton arsenal west ham and united in the next 4 weeks ? so if we hold form over them games then liverpool and united will be 10 to 15 points behind. but if we lose or draw a couple then anything is possible

am with pep here one game at a time forget the fixtures we have no control on the future so why plan for it

Agree it's one game at a time but as a fan it's difficult not to think further ahead, and 3 wins and 2 draws from those next 5 games will be a decent return IMO. I think I've got my maths right but at worst, that would put us 6 points clear of United (assuming one of the draws rather than one of the wins would be against them plus we'll have played our game in hand against Everton) with same games played, 6 points clear of Leicester with same games played, and 9 points clear of Liverpool with same games played. In fact, it would be slightly better than that as Leicester play Liverpool on Saturday so one or both will drop points in that one, plus all that assumes that those three win all their other games in that 5 game spell of ours.

Good point.

You can bet Pep will be telling the Lads it isn't over yet.

We dont want to be emulating that epic Rag capitulation.

There are a larger number of teams in the PL that can take points off our realistic rivals. I don't think we will keep this winning run going for the rest of the season and we will drop points but none of our rivals have shown any evidence that says they can do what we have done. We may drop points but they will too (and more). There are very few easy games for anyone but we have the squad, the players, the system and the manager that is at present, head and shoulders above anyone else.

The league is far from over, we have 16 games left too play, we have put ourselves into a great position but there are lots of points left to play for, there will be many ups and downs, traumas and tantrums, hopefully we've got the players and manager to see us over the line.

It doesn’t count till May, we’ve seen the rags collapse in April. The scousers slowly bottled it from January onwards in 2019, City are in a good position and head and shoulders better than everyone else but there are still a lot of points to play for.

one game at a time....looks very good now.......next 4-5 games are all difficult one way or another....so lets just focus on spurs (in the league).....get 3 pts off them first as we were awful against them at the start of the season and they have Kane back just in time to face us.

This team now knows they can go to Anfield at not just win but win emphatically.

I fear for every single team left to play us in the league this season. Personally I reckon it'll be over by the time we've played 30 games.
