Title Race 2020/21

Yeah we have easier ones this month before a tough run next month. Hopefully we can get some good results and performances to build up a head of steam going into the fixture against Liverpool at the start of February.

Unfortunately as we'll still have a game in hand at the end of the month it's unlikely our points tally would be too imposing at that moment, unless everyone else cocks up.
Youse and Liverpool are still yhe best teams in the country. Like you say if you both hit even 85 per cent nobody else will be on that level.

The bookies odds look about right to me, City slight favorites ahead of Liverpool and Utd big outsider's. The fixture list looks gruelling even before the postponed games are accounted for. I could see 72 points being enough which brings everyone into it. Getting knocked out of domestic and European competition early could be the deciding factor. The team with 4 or 5 less games in March probably takes it.

united arnt going to go the distance, the bookings odds will tell you that at 7/1,even at 3/1 there not in the top two,not often they get it wrong,,its city's for the taking if they want it

Just said the in the match thread that the point at Old Trafford is now looking like a good one. If we beat them this week and win all of our league games this month, we’ll be in a great position. We have to be taking maximum points from our league games considering the opposition.

The point did more good for them than us. They were downbeat at that moment, and instead of turning the screw, we played safe and let them off and now they are going to top the table.

I think I want the rags to beat Liverpool in 2 weeks.
Rags won't go the distance because they are not good enough and if Liverpool get beat again, they could seriously implode.

No, that's the last thing I want. A win at Anfield will give them belief. Now, even though they are top, they still doubt if they are capable of going the distance.

I didn't think we could win it, but the win at Chelsea was top class. Aside from the Leicester defeat, pre-Dias, we've been defensively solid and have a platform to go and win games. Guardiola has shown some pragmatism and is doing what it takes to ensure we pick up points. We're also scoring goals again and without Jesus or Aguero which shows the strength of our squad. What other team can go to Chelsea and perform like that with so many players out?! We have the best squad and that gives us the best chance this season with covid still around. Imagine if Liverpool get a bought, or the rags. They'll have no chance. It could cost you a couple of losses just like that. Or end up causing you a fixture pile-up.

A winning run is key. If we win the next 6 we'll be top and unlike the other teams we have the know-how to go on and win the league and the rest will see it as very difficult to catch us. That tough run in Feb then would come with us in great form and confidence and ideally we'll get some wins against the main rivals and build a gap.
