Title Race Question

Chelsea's most important players:

Courtois, Ivanovic, Terry, Matic, Fabregas, Oscar, Hazard, Costa



City's most important players:

Kompany, Touré, Zabaleta, Navas Fernando, Fernandinho, Silva, Aguero



We could probably manage without Hart as Caballero is equally as good of a keeper.
Vincent is our leader and we have missed his calmness in recent games (losing 2-0 leads twice)
Zabaleta's overlapping runs are probably our most effective way of unlocking defences.
Navas gives us width and pace on the counter attack which is vital.
Fernando and Fernandinho will become even more important when Yaya goes to AFCON.
Despite our good form without Aguero we miss his clinical finishing, we could have scored 10 goals vs Sunderland.
Silva is essential to creating chances for Aguero.

The positive signs for City fans is that we have been without all of our key players at some point this season and yet we are still at the top of the table with Chelsea who won the league in September.

Chelsea are in 4 competitions so have more games to play which will lead to fatigue and injuries as they will have less time to recover in between games. They will also have less time to prepare for games which can lead to bad results.
Also Mourinho plays the same team every week and those players will be knackered come the end of the season whereas Pellegrini rotates to give the players a rest which will benefit us at the end of the season.

Everyone is expecting Chelsea to win it so they have the pressure and most of their players haven't experienced winning the Premier League so they are not used to handing the pressure and expectation whereas the majority of our squad has. We also have shown we know what it takes to come from behind in the title race. Their manager hasn't won a trophy in 3 seasons whereas ours won 2 last season so that gives the manager confidence and the players confidence in the manager's ability. We have had our injury crisis and a terrible run of form and are still joint at the top of the league. Chelsea are yet to experience either and when they do our squad depth and rotation will pay off like it did towards the end of last season when we had to win 5 games in a row to win the league.

We are have been Champions twice in the last 3 seasons for a reason, we're gonna be Champions again and prove all the doubters in the media wrong when Prince Vince lifts the Premier League trophy for a 3rd time.
 
I feel each of these 5 are important to Chelsea in their own way, missing 1 wont necessarily mean they wont win but cracks at either end would appear

Matic - midfield anchor, shield for back 4. Chelsea's two defeats coincided with him missing a game and being shit in the other

Hazard - creator and Havoc in chief. his dribbling is astounding and that alone creates so many spaces and chances

Fabregas - provides control and creativity but I think he is less important than Hazard especially based on the past few weeks

Costa - scores goals but I think Chelsea might still find goals without him. Hazard has slightly improved his end product and Remy and Drogba are both better than their last set of strikers

Terry - leadership and best defender

Pretty much sums it up. Put me down as a believer.
 
For them: Matic, Fabregas, Costa and Terry (12 league games missed between them)

For us: Yaya, Silva, Aguero and Kompany (30 league games missed)

I would also say that we are more equipped to deal with injuries than Chelsea, for example if Chelsea lost Terry and Matic they would be starting Zouma and Mikel, whereas without Yaya and Kompany we can play Lampard or Fernandinho and Demichelis and have done pretty successfully thus far.
 
This is no Brainer you need your best players to win the title while the squad players should do the job when best are missing like they have been doing
 
Who's to say we wont get more injuries ? Its nonsense to think were getting ours out of the way early. Chelsea could go all season without significant injuries. Not sure why that it is but hey we seem to be unlucky.
 
Aguero, Silva, Toure and Kompany for us.

If I had to make them go without 1 player it would be Fabregas as the stats show he is the creator in chief. They would score far less goals. They would concede more without Matic but I don't think that would damage them as much.

Surely they must suffer some injuries sooner rather than later especially as Maureen isn't rotating the squad. Does our game against them come between the semi finals of the COC? Could make things interesting. Love to turn them over at the Bridge and listen to that crying bastard blaming all and sundry in his post match interview. He's a shithouse when they get beaten.
 
Mourinho, get him out of the way. Their players would have no one to turn to. Officials would feel less intimidated. Costa would then get what he should have gotten on a few occasions I have watched them, a red card (dirty bastard). For us its, Sergio is a winner on his own. But Silva can make so many goals & Vinnie at the back. These 3 for obvious reasons. But can make a reason for so many more e.g. Nasri , Yaya.

Missed off the "S" and now it's too damned late. I am sick of Hazard and I don't believe the twat Terry has a full decent season left in him. Hopefully an injury or a drop off in form is pending. Meanwhile, if Sergio would only stay fit.
