To Mr Roberto Mancini.

I've never been an outer, but I have had doubts about him. Recently, though, I have never seen us play as tight and as fluid (can that happen? Does physics allow that? Cue Damocles) as I have ever seen. Better than Horton. Better than Keegan. Better than Frank Clark. Bobby, I'll still wonder why sometimes, but I won't doubt you.

EDIT: Don't think the people categorised as 'outers' on here are actually 'outers'.

Well you said "as fluid" meaning "close to the behaviour of fluid". Considering "tight" generally means "hard to move", so yes, it is physically possible to be both tight and fluid. Example: try to lift the sea.

:)
Aha! That incompressible water type stuff backs up my homage. Gerrintherrre!!!

I've always said that Mancini would do it for us. He is a typical Italian Manager that is ultimately driven towards winning, however ugly or controversial. I have been watching this team now for almost 52 years and fellow blues, trust me; this lad will take us places, I've been there with Joe and Mal, who also had the gift. Mancini is going to be up there with them, pretty soon.

I hope there are no blues out there tonight whose enjoyment is slightly dampened because they don't like being proved wrong

what a season - just read this in bbc match report and it really sunk home what a job he's done

"his first full season in charge"

This in an absolute nut shell. We've been the epitome of class this season, in both definitions of the word. Manager of the year should have been handed out after this game, because it should have gone to Mancini. To finish level points with second is just unbelievable, and to do it in the midst of building a squad is nothing short of a miracle.

Anyone remember this:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3205348/Man-City-stars-want-Mancini-axed.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... -axed.html</a>

Remember thinking at the time wat a joke!!!!

I will say it again as I have had all season - the guy is class - like Baconface doesn't mind getting rid of top players for the sake of the team - strong, built from the back, play really good POSSESSION (not boring) football, keep clean sheets, score beautiful goals, wins us a trophy, gets us an AUTOMATIC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SPOT, the list goes on.....
