To those handful of Morons! Read!

the problem is that it isn't 30 idiots. This seems to be an attitude growing and growing amongst our fans.. and it's absolutely ridiculous. I'm not going to try to convince anyone that Mancini is playing scintillating football right now, but i really think we're making forward steps. Starting off with making us a team that's difficult to beat.

the feeling in the stadium seems more sour with every passing week. And if you're talking about the owner being disappointed in us, i can see why. There's one thing that strikes me about City fans at the moment, in the ground and elsewhere.. the sheer ingratitude we display. Take for instance the Liverpool game - a match where 2 years ago we'd have zero chance, but here we were the better side and with a bit more from the forward players we could have won it. So you'd think the fans would be happy, would show the team a biit of gratitude? By the time the final whistle went (ignoring the boos for the referee, though that didn't look too good either on face value) the ground was half empty. It actually made me angry to look down at the players walking around an empty stadium, you could imagine them thinking "what are we even bothering for". When big Nige walked up to our stand to clap and there were maybe half a dozen people clapping back. When i looked at the opposite stand there were half a dozen fans clapping back. And i just thought "this is the thanks we give them". Everyone else was pointed at the exit, not bothering to glance down at the people who'd just fought for them for 90 minutes

it's not an isolated incident, but it shows something very clear to me. City fans want it all, they want the pplayers to give their all, and then when they give it we don't even say thanks. And for an owner who wants to be loved and adored by the fans, wants to be a hero, you can understand why he might think he's fighting a losing battle

Good post.

It's not about high demand and being impatient. It's about "this is exactly why we should have kept hughes". I was a 'moron' who hand gestured to mancini, and i do not regret it. I'm not impatient, i'm not demanding blah blah blah. All i am demanding is someone that knows what they're doing. Mancinis tactics are abismal, and he has said he has no intentions of changing them. He is not playing the city way, and that's what i don't like. He played for pens from the word go last night, and looked like he didn't give a shit in half time of ET. Quite frankly he deserved my middle finger

if we're talking about tactics, let's talk about Hughes' tactics. It would be a short conversation, because he didn't have any

Mancini is doing what any team aiming for the top needs to do first - making themselves hard to beat. And because it's so different to what we were doing before it's gonna take time. In Italy Mancini was an attacking manager, but it took time to come through. It will here as well

Posted this on another thread:

I have been dedicated for 40+ years and I have patience - I just do not want the sheik to disappear - I know it would not make sense to react to the spoilt brat behaviour of a few - but who here really understands what would make an individual with that much wealth tick - we hear that the 'thank you banner' was well received - seeing such behaviour after giving so much could trigger the opposite - when you have that much money you can afford to get pissed off at things that others have to tolerate I guess

OMG - it would be the height of 'typical CITY' for us to lose the best owner in the world through our own fault - he might go and buy the scum - just because he can - they would appreciate his efforts

Haha, it is just like watching pearce! trouble is we're better than that now. Forget money spent but on paper our team is amazing. Like last night i have to say we did play well, passing and possesion wise, but due to poor tactics ie lone striker that looked like a central midfielder all game the fact that the team played well resulted in sod all!

If on paper our team is "amazing" why is it performing just the same under Mancini as it was under Hughes. Great at home, shite away. (By the way, I think our squad is second only to Chelsea in this league.)

We were poor under MH, and we're still poor, and considering the money invested its a sad state all round.

Every Journey is a sequence of steps. Too many believe we can be no1 without any effort, pain, frustration, disappointment. They are wrong. Above anything else it will take determination and steadfastness. That means looking further than todays quick fix of adrenalin and thinking of the long term goal.
I'm really disappointed at the lack of moral fibre demonstrated by many of our so called fans. We appear to have been invaded by a gang of cowardly self centred morons who don't realise just how ridiculous abusing a manager who has been in post for 2 months is.
This is a manager who has won major honours at a young age. A manager who constantly bettered the current Chelsea manager when the last worked in the same league. A manager who so far has a better points average than our previous manager.
The shortsightedness of some so called supporters is frankly embarrassing. I have to wonder exactly what it is they claim to support?

One word: Mentality

Under both managers the squad hasn't inherited a winning mentality, it's as simple as that (in my humble opinion)

The team played superb in the first half last night against a fighting team at home that also knocked arsenal out ,so no pushovers .The passing was great and we had shit load of chances that could of and should of sealed the game ,Ade played the role of lone striker well and ran his socks of ,Barry who for some reason keeps getting slagged off never stopped ,always wanting the ball ,Bellamy was a tad rusty but still gave 100% ,the team deserve plenty of credit for what was a very difficult week .
As for those knobs that that abuse anybody wearing the city badge you are a disgrace ,to give our manager the finger and scream bile at our manager wellout of order and you should not turn up again . We can all get frustrated with poor displays or results but everything in context eh ,and a bit of emotional controll ,we are city from maine road and we look after our own ,always have done ask berti if you dont believe me..

When you live in an Alps villa next to David Bowie and Lewis Hamilton (rather than sitting or standing through all the recent shite including 3 x stoke matches) it is easier to be philosphical about things.
