I'm also not bothered about the result as the better team won. What bothers me is this is the team that we dominated for over an hour in April, with much the same players. Yet we were barely in the game today for any length of time.

What also bothers me is that, being 2-0 up and knowing what to expect in the second half, our manager failed to make the necessary changes to anticipate that. Balotelli was giving us nothing offensively and his failure to defend was also causing us problems. Very poor tactics from Mancini who should have put Barry on at half-time to give us that defensive solidity we were lacking and that Barry gives us. And probably SWP for Milner as well, who will defend solidly and give a potent attacking threat.

Certainly not the end of the world , losing today .... but defintely a wake up call that we need to do much better ...... if we play like that next Monday even Swansea will fancy their chances!

The game will be long forgotten if we beat United when it actually matters. Better to learn lessons now than lose valuable truly competitive games.

we were bleeding awful today and no matter what it hurt. I hate losing and its even worse to those mongs. Surrounded by Rags for the match. Erasing today from my memory very quickly and the only word that I will utter to anyone who brings it up until the next derby (a meaningful one) is FRIENDLY. If we'd have won they'd have said it.

Doubt most would be half as bothered if they beat us 1-0, the nature of the loss was bloody awful though. Not only 2-0 up to 2-3 down but another injury time winner.

Correct. Even a 2-0 or 3-0 thumping would be nearly easier to take than that today. We were 2 up against them. Any side with pretentions about winning leagues, cups etc should not be surrendering 2 goal leads in one half (or indeed in a whole game). Very disappointing.

They blew a 2-0 lead to WBA at home last year. Shit happens. Fact is they outplayed us for most of the game, they won. It sucks, but it's wasn't that big a game. I'd defiantly rather have won than lost, especially cause of who we played but I'm not going to worry about it. I'd rather lose this game than lose to Swansea.

I think for a lot of people it wasn't seen as a friendly, it's nearly impossible not to see it as a full blooded contest with the rags.

I don't have a problem with City losing, I may moan for a couple of hours afterwards but otherwise it's on to the next game. This however was hard to watch. I wouldn't have minded too much had we lost in a battling effort. But to lose again in the last minute, conceding 2 goals in 10 minutes and in such fashion as we did without putting up much of a fight in the second half, especially against the rags, was horrible. I've seen worse things from City but I suppose I expected more.

However saying that, I'm glad that it's out of the way. If we are going to lose like that, better it be when there's no points or trophy on the line (not to disregard the shield), and I reckon that we'll give Swansea a battering now if the players use it as a kick up the arse.

It's one of those games that sucks for a couple days, only because of who we lost to. By the time Wed. comes around we'll be over it. We've lost many more painful derbies than this.

im more annoyed at the way we let it slip more than anything else but my birds gonna get it good and proper in aproxemtly 30 mins so I can bring back my testosteroned filled body and become and angry young man again and treat her like a real man does :)
