Yes - treated with a level of dignity and respect commensurate with their behaviour. The use of "torture" should just simply be one of a range of options to be deployed where necessary. Even if you choose not to, the fact that you would be willing to exercise extreme methods to achieve your goals can be quite a powerful lever, especially when dealing with people of a similar mentality.

If innocent lives can be saved, the information should be gained by fair or foul methods, imo.

A question for those against torture.
Would you accept a close member of your family dying in an attack which could have been avoided, if torture had been
used to gain information to prevent it.

You have heard "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" but I say, don't resist an evildoer. If anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn and show them the other one.

I'd say ironically but at this point it's more expected than ironic, your views square up much better with the Qu'ran which uses the process of qisas (literally an eye for an eye) to determine justice. Have you ever thought of converting?

The trouble is as proved over the years in various countries & situations ,it doesnt usualy work .if i was being tortured i would tell you anything i thought you wanted to know weather it was the truth or not

Torture doesn't work. Torturers go in with an idea of what they want to hear and the torturees make shit up that they think they want to hear to stop being in extreme pain.
