Toby Alderweireld

£25m release clause. I'm surprised clubs aren't looking at triggering this. 30 years old and lots of experience.

If for example, Bravo's contract ended this summer and we had one more spot available, I reckon we'd be all over this. Top class defender, experienced, PL & CL experience and relatively cheap. In terms of finding someone who can take over Kompany's recent role in the squad, you're not going to get much better than Alderweireld for that price.

I thought about it as well, bu any club would have to pay him a boatload of a signing-on fee and I imagine he'd want a decent wage hike and a long contract to boot. Not such a no-brainer after all, despite the low transfer fee.

I agree
It surely cannot be as straightforward has just paying 25mil or everyone would be all over it

Still no one nibbling at this which I am astonished at! 25M its a steal!! And the buy-out clause ends this coming Thursday. Surely he's worth a punt...…….. right ?????

It would have to be down to his level of personal demands, because it's not the transfer fee.

It isn't the price that matters it is having the right player for the system Pep wants us to play. Suspect if he fitted the criteria, whatever it is, we would have signed him already.
