Todays Pitch Invasion. City v Swansea

This.

Never sure why people have the mentality that it is their right to break the rules because (some poxxy made up justification) ....and fuck everyone else!?!

What would be FAR better is these same “real” fans getting the post-match singing flowing and letting the players and staff know how valued and appreciated they are!

It’s like watching that clip of scooter thieves picking out their victims for daring to have their phones out in public, or a handbagon their arm, and saying “Look, she’s just asking to have it nicked!”

NO, SHE’S NOT, it is just your irrational justification to make you feel better for breaking society’s rules!!

2012 was unique in many respects, and the outpouring of emotions in those final minutes was palpable. To even attempt to use that cathartic release as justification is pathetic and small time.
Would prefer not to have a pitch invasion this time but your comparison is a bit over the top.

I don't know there is always room for a pitch invasion in some circumstances, it is a tradition over here and mainly harmless.

However it is reserved for last home games and so if we win the league with 3 to go pointless in my opinion and deffinately not a good idea if it is derby day, as the police will come down hard on us.

Time and a palce and this season isn't it

Mate, when you say “over here,” I assume you think I was born and raised in Chicago, not Withington, Radcliffe, Mossley & Stalybridge?

I was a Platt Lane kid, then a Kippax kid, then a North Stander, both before and after the seats were put in! I even got a seat in the Main Stand for our last game at Maine Road.

I’m quite familiar with “over ‘ere!” ;-)

But did you invade the pitch in 93 and spoil the platt lane opening? ;-)

and no I know you are an ex manc resident from previous posts btw.

Only time I ever went over the wall at City was at Maine Road when it kicked off in the corner of the Kippax/Platt Lane by the tunnel. It was a Spurs game and I was about 12 or 13, I think. I was only over the wall for about 10 seconds before a copper had me by the hair and belt and threw me back into the melee! ;-P

I did it v Charlton but I was a teenager having fun celebrating. Nowadays I wouldn't do it but I don't really see the harm in our younger fans celebrating on the pitch. As long as it doesn't get out of hand I can't see a problem.

What a warped view of the world you have to make that comparison.

If we win it at home against the Rags I'm on the pitch singing nursery rhymes close up and personal in JLindz face.
