Looks like Alec wanted to bring real life events to the screen.
Looks like an accident based on what I have read so far but more investigation to follow.
in saying that not the first time in a movie real bullets or bullets that can kill have been placed in a prop.
Another injured so lets see what is uncovered by investigators.
One of the problems here is that some ppl think a blank is a blank is a blank. This is not so, there are different kinds of blanks depending, for example, on the noise you want. All blanks are capable of injuring at close quarters.

Mad one this with Baldwin. He's a champion of anti-gun laws. That along with the story line makes this tragedy almost grotesquely ironic.

Hmmm it was a western, so presumably a six shooter, one dead & one seriously injured. From one or two shots?
