It's a good point. It does feel like that living in America. Other states feel like other countries, I felt that when I lived there.
Oz is about the same size as USA. If something happens in Darwin or Perth (a 5 hour flight from Brisbane) it's like it's somewhere else this place is so big.
Yesterday it was 31deg here in Brisbane, even hotter in Cairns, but it was snowing in parts of Victoria.
Thank fuck we don't have that gun culture though.
