Today's shooting in America thread

I was forced to live in Missouri when I was 9 until 16 - born in Wythenshawe. By 13, I had .22....here you go, shoot whatever the fuck you want. Saw nothing but violence in all my time there. Most things appeared to be appeased with weapons.

Almost like having a nuclear capability.

Shit country, full of shit, maniacal people, fuelled by weapons and alcohol, and some **** called Jesus.

Fuck your fucking God, and your 2nd Amendment.
Interesting.

 Fixed.

I thought about fixing the second part but wouldn't bother with that, as far as I'm concerned I don't believe in the same God that these so called violence loving, racist, gun crazed, evangelical hypocrites claim to believe in.

My favourite thing about this video, by the way, is the top comment is from an American saying that it is only funny because it is coming from someone from the UK where they have a “knife problem”. This is unfortunately a very common retort any time we Brits speak out about the gun problem in the US… and is also hilariously wrong.

In fact, not only does the UK not actually have a “knife problem”, despite what the English and American rags and right-wing nutter media will have you believe, but per capita, the US has far more knife-related violence than the UK, on top off having many magnitudes greater gun-related violence per capita.

That talking point is sadly a very real reason why nothing gets done to try to prevent gun violence, despite the ever growing frequency of mass shooting in America, as it is used as a reason to reject any proposals for enacting similar gun laws to Switzerland, which is one of the few western countries that has a similar per capita gun ownership rate to the US, but very little gun-related violence.

“Guns don’t kill people, people do” is the nonsensical mantra, conveniently leaving out the rest of the saying (ironically, as gun nutters also do with the full text of the 2nd Amendment): “but it’s extremely difficult to kill 20 people in as many seconds with a combat knife.”

Anyone seen the bus shoot out ? A man demands to be let off in-between 2 stops. When the driver says no he produces a hand gun. Whilst still driving the bus driver pulls out his gun and they both start shooting. The passenger is injured and the driver injured and sacked. Just how fucked up is that country ?

Sorry haven't a clue how to post vids.

You may not think we have a knife problem but major city EDs see a lot of knife related crime - MRI see more than their fair share of them. The doctors, nurses and those being stabbed aren't Right wing nutters. Mind you, we don't normally ask about their political beliefs, but they don't appear to be Tories.
