Togo team bus shot at - Adebayor safe {merged}

Re: Togo team bus shot at

With this happening there is obviously no way that the tournament can go ahead - the governing bodies should also abandon plans for South Africa to get the World Cup - sport and terrorism just do not mix...........

BBC just reported that the driver was killed and four players injured.

Really sickening, of course im delighted that Ade and the others are ok, but all this guy did was get up this morning to drive some players to a football match.

Probably would get to see the games too..one minute you're an ordinary bus driver the next the world knows about you for all the wrong reasons..

really truly sad news..RIP...its not fair..it really isnt.

Re: Togo team bus shot at

WTF!!? this is terribly sick, unfortunately an innocent bus driver has been murdered and maybe more too!?fucking disgusting, why do they need to do it? & why shoot out at the driver aswell. Adebayor & the rest of them are going to be VERY shook up by this and i dont think we will see him playing for a while anyway now!

RIP

Re: Togo team bus shot at

Manchester City can confirm that striker Emmanuel Adebayor is uninjured after this afternoon's attack on the Togo team bus in Angola.

Club officials have spoken with Adebayor and though shaken by the terrible events, he is unharmed.
