Probably grateful to have an employer paying him £100k per week whilst he goes off playing for his country for a month then again whilst he has 3 weeks on holiday.
 
I know we're 2 days before the opening ceremony but the action has started today (Australia v Japan in the softball currently underway) and there's also football happening so I'll stick the schedule up now.

All times in BST but add 8 hours on for local Japanese time. e.g 13:30 BST would be 21:30 local time.

I'll always try to highlight the GB athletes so we know when to watch them and who to root for.

BBC, BBC iPlayer and BBC red button will cover the action but outside of the football, probably won't get any of the action until the opening ceremony has commenced, so no baseball or softball over the next 2 days.


Apologies to any overseas posters, adjust the start times accordingly and i'll still post all the main events so you get a rough idea of what's on for the day.

Had to smile at that Chelsea loving Pearce asked the woman co comm if she had any superstitions when playing...I always put my left boot on first she said.....did you ever use it? he replied.

Disgraceful really, wouldn't say that to a bloke.
