Passed away aged 92. Sad news, used to enjoy listening to him on Piccadilly back in the day.

Can’t see a thread. Just been announced that he’s died aged 92. Despite his United links, I never had a real issue with him and his double act with James H Reeve on a Saturday afternoon on Piccadilly back in the 80’s tended to be a decent listen

I went into the Piccadilly studio with James H and the Doc one Saturday through the Blue Print fanzine. Was determined to give him a hard time but he was so funny and also couldnt disagree with a word he said.
He lived In the High Peak area and had only got his drivers licence back recently - he got the studio lackey 3 times to get bottles of bubbly which he shared with us and then drove home

I remember him going for Paul Nolen in the City social club, when Stannage, in his wisdom, broadcast live from there and also invited Tommy, think it was the FA cup game v the scum, rosler chip (:

Seen him going into a few of our matches in last few years,walked past me one day,I said to him come to watch a decent side Tommy,he smiled and gave me thumbs up,sad news
