Phillips signing didn't work out. Personally I don't think he had it in him to make it at City.Very impressed with him today. Keeping him instead of Phillips would definitely have been a better option.
But he came in with more experience, International starter etc. If Doyle made one mistake everyone would have been on him just as much as Phillips. Look at the characters we have in the squad Phillips just never had that mentality in my opinion so hoping this guy did also is a huge risk.
And if Southampton go up we will have to sell both THB and Doyle for about £ 20m.

THB is 20m overall including a loan fee with buyback and sell on. He renewed before going out. Can’t complain at that one at all and if Saints don’t go up he’s linked to Ipswich.and THB could have sat tight and walked on a free
Doyle we have 50% sell on as well as they couldn’t bid higher and all done at the same time as Nunes deal.
Think both are brilliant bits of business.
