Completely different in terms of their potential and talent.Foden is genuinely special,that was noted from a very early age and it was almost inevitable he would quickly rise through the ranks.Tommy is a good player,but he is no where near that level.While still very talented,he is relying far more on his graft and character to break into the first team.

That’s why I’d rather see Palmer and McAtee given any academy graduate opportunities once the title is won - they’re special players with higher ceilings; I don’t even think Tommy is the best Doyle at the club.
He could still become a very decent player, but he’s going to need 150 games somewhere to get there.
Would be fine to loan out Doyle but it has to be the right club/manager ,someone like Bielsa , Rodgers , Arteta or even Graham Potter they would be great mentors for him and try to play a passing game , but if he ends up playing for the likes of Dyche or any club who hoof the ball 60 yards like the Dippers it could do more harm than good.Yep,gonna be difficult for the kid as he's something of a jack of all trades while there are players,more specialised,that are overtaking him.I'm thinking Lavia defensively,and the kid above,as well as Robertson and others going forward.
