Yeah great example of not writing off a player too soon. Seems to be more encouraging noises about James coming back but what a story if he could.. Not heard much about Tommy but hopefully city see a slot for him, trainee KDB maybe .Give the midfield turnover we're likely to have in the summer - gundogan, bernardo and maybe even phillips all possible leavers based on the aggregators - wouldn't mind Doyle back at all. Leaps and bounds this season.
We cant just keep them there. We can only loan one player to them in the PLIf Sheffield Utd do gain promotion then I think we should just keep him and McAtee they're for another season. They've both been influential for them this season so I'm sure their fans would like to have them for another season. Also, it would give us the chance to see how they fair with a full season in the Prem.
I reckon to bring him back straight away may be jumping the gun a little bit, especially considering he'd also be bedded into the CL as well.
Ah, my bad.We cant just keep them there. We can only loan one player to them in the PL
Can you sell a player for £1 with a £1 buy-back to get around this?We cant just keep them there. We can only loan one player to them in the PL
If he is prem level then he should be closer to 40m. So if they get him for 20m there should be a bigger than usual sell on fee, eg 50%. Or add ons that rise it up should they stay up.The general consensus of Blades fans is that Sheffield United should make an offer to City for Doyle. Fee around £15m-£20m with buyout clause.
They think Doyle has demonstrated that he can become an established PL player.
I think add ons would be realistic but I can’t see a 50% sell on fee being agreed. Would likely be a 20% max sell on. At the moment it is all ifs and buts we don’t know if Doyle wants to leave permanently or if City want to sell.If he is prem level then he should be closer to 40m. So if they get him for 20m there should be a bigger than usual sell on fee, eg 50%. Or add ons that rise it up should they stay up.
Bring him back into the fold next season and let him learn how to play in our team.
He will improve just being in our setup.
unfortunately, this is the downside of loans.I strongly suspect having been instrumental in leading a club into the Prem,he would want a taste of consistent football at that level.
