Tommy Muir RIP : minutes applause on 71 mins

RiP Tommy, got to know him back in the nineties through the ancoats branch. Top bloke was Tommy

I went on his coaches drank in his pub in the 90s had lockins with him sat underneath the big picture of him bell lee and summerbee all in tuxedos. He was someone i looked up to as a blue when i was very young and did so all the way through my life. No more suffering Tom but you’ll be missed so much

Never knew the man, but he was one of those faces you saw everywhere on away days, just a smile and a nod to a fellow Blue in random places.

Played for Cheadle for sometime and like many went to City away with Tommy and the crowd from the pub. Cardiff away in 94 springs to mind. Mental away day that was.

Rest in peace Tommy….

A great man indeed. He will be remembered by many. We should all get a "do one" T shirt. For spurs. His life and dedication to supporting city should be celebrated v spurs.

Very well known within my family as my mum and his sister in law are best friends.

Was always round at our house when my mum and dad lived in Moston. One of the nicest blokes you could ever meet. Remember him as a kid, always smiling and laughing. Just an all round brilliant bloke.

Has been seriously ill recently and was moved into a hospice on Monday before passing away last night.

He was also the great uncle of current City U-18s player Ashton Muir.

Will be very sadly missed

Billy B. RIP Tommy. 50 years of being a mate. From the post with his sidekick, Pete Roger’s to the Hat and Feathers - Newton St branch - Clive Wilson our player guest - Journalist Patrick Barclay hanging out at the pub. 80’s promotion parties at the Post Office Social club. Away games on a coach from Longwynd Shropshire cos Manchester coach firms would’nt touch the branch with a barge pole.Home games at Maine Road in the Albert, City Social Club and the Clarence. Main Stand, Block HC just behind the Directors box in the Swales years. At the Etihad, Colin Bell stand top tier, Gate 326 - at the bar for a half time pint and catch up. Links with the Langley Lads - Win, Duggie Corlett, Tony Valente and Mick Akin. The pub years, Ardwck Empire, Mad Hatter, Kenilworth( all those tv screens) and the George - with the kinkladze room! European nights in Santander, Munich and Celtic. Look out for a sky blue star in the sky tonight - shine on you crazy diamond!! Happy Trails !!

Those names take me back to the early 70s when they would be amongst the City top boys at that time.
Just need to add Dave Laryea and Les Cracknell to complete the full Langley crew.
Though I would think that they are all in their late 60s/early 70s by now.
