Toni Kroos

Well Kroos is pretty poor defensively and has played behind the striker or on the right in his early career. It's only now he has really started dropping back to midfield.

Kroos probably has the best range of passing in world football with Pirlo being his strongest competition. In terms of passing ability and creativity, Fernandinho does not come close to Kroos. No midfielder not even Gerrard has Kroos' passing range in the Premiership.

Fernandinho is of course more dynamic and much much better defensively. He has more energy and burst forward. Fernandinho definitely the more rounded player, but Kroos' passing is exceptional. If he progresses like he should do Kroos will be the better player very soon.

Fernandinho's passing range and accuracy is excellent too. It's one of the reasons Pellegrini signed him.

Explain how Kroos is more creative. Fernandinho is known to make things happen with the blink of the eye.
Kroos' passing range is the best in the world. Kroos is more creative, because on average he makes far more defence splitting passes and this is even with teams parking the bus.

LOLOLOLOLOL. Kroos obviously gets to attack more. Fernandinho is shackled, he is not allowed to be himself. Oh my goodness, why am I even ......

Anything Kroos can do, Fernandinho can do it too. short passes, long passes, through balls, long balls, dribbling, lobbing, freekicks, everything.

Except I did not say what my average was. I did not mean per game, but rather per attacking pass. When Kroos is in an offensive area he can split defences better than Fernandinho. If after watching those videos or seeing him live against you, you still believe Fernandinho has more creative and an equal passing range then it's your opinion.

"Average split passes per game " is a useless statistic. One player is being utilised as a holding midfielder, the other one is free to attack for 90 minutes. Kroos will most definately have more key passes, more assists, more goals.

Its like comparing Vidal to Pirlo or Roy Keane to Scholes. Both have very different roles on the pitch so a comparison is a bit pointless.

The point is that Fernandinho can do whatever Kroos can.

Okay, he can't score many goals from distance, I'll give you that.

It is so unfortunate that our £30 million signing has been relegated to a holding role. Before we signed Fernandinho he was known as a central play maker.

The noise around his move to the Scum is a little OTT - if I were a betting man I'd wager he's using this to leverage a better deal at Bayern. This is being played out too publicly - although he does run the risk of pissing the Bayern hierarchy off with this nonsense.

there's one aspect that Kroos is clearly better than Ferna.. his long shot..
but Ferna is a all round midfielder..
can't really compare each other.. it's like compare an orange to an apple..

no way Kroos will leaving Bayern..
we will have Zuculini..
better we get a destroyer like Fernando..
and young player to be understudy for Yaya - i.e Pogba, Moussa Sissoko, Carvalho, etc

I'm not sure I agree with that, Kroos for me is better.

You would see how good he is if he came to the Premier League, instead of being surrounded by other world class players at Bayern. Even then he stands out and is often the best player on the pitch, but at a team like United he would make the rest of the team look like pub players.

Depends a lot of the system and how he is used. Kroos ain't no Schweinsteiger who for me is a complete central midfielder as he can vary his match so much and play many different roles whenever you need it - and he has the intelligence to use that in the right moments. Kroos is world class in part of his matches (in this he is e.g. superior to Schweinsteiger etc.) e.g. because of his passes and pass range - but he lacks the speed etc. to work further forward - and he lacks the eagerness to e.g. track back. Matches like the Arsenal match are matches in which Kroos really can shine as you only see his advantages.

But - if you set up the central midfield in the right way - e.g. play with a very defensive sweeper type midfielder behind him and have a very mobile front or more offensive midfielder - that can be ideal.

Kroos has been around a while now but suddenly the UK media seems to be having a collective wankfest over him. Yes he's great on his day and he's in top form atm but he's not suddenly become superman overnight.
