Yaya Toure used to play a lot of minutes under Guardiola as well. But then he let him go.

so your logic now is that anyone who plays a lot for Guardiola is about to be sold by Guardiola and he only plays people he does not rate, such as Kroos?
no, that's your rhetoric. the logic would be that playing a lot for guardiola won't stop him from selling you on if he has a reason to.

This Domination bloke has said that Guardiola doesn't rate the guy he has in his first XI for the Champion's League because Bayern won't break their entire waging structure to accommodate him. He doesn't want to sell but may be forced to.

Guardiola does rate him, I'm sure of that, he's a player right out of the Xavi mould and very important to the way Pep wants to play, but Pep is a coach, not a general manager, he won't have much to do with wages and transfers. You're right about Pep could be forced, I remember reading an interview after we got Yaya where he was raging about him being sold.

Why are people even still seriously debating with the user "domination"? He is probably the most obvious WUM on these boards at the moment.

Kroos wants to be on the same wages as Ribery and the other high paid Bayern players. The club is not willing to give him what he wants because Guardiola want him.

Lol! Guardiola has stated many times he loves Kroos and wants him to stay, your still not making sense...

He also said Kroos could be here today, but gone tomorrow.

If he was in the mould of Xavi, Bayern would tie him up very quickly. But he's nowhere near Xavi, is he.

Do you ever actually watch Bayern Munich?

Yes.

Kroos is a creative midfielder, but he's no Xavi.

Xavi sets the tempo of the game, like Toure or Pirlo. These players are incredibly rare. The ball is glued to their feet and it's very hard to get it off them.

I guess you dont watch Bayern....

He's in the Xavi "mould" but he's not as good as Xavi, or anywhere close really. He'd be the 3rd midfielder here if we continue playing a two-man midfield and paying such high wages for someone who is essentially a back-up would be moronic.

Not to mention if we paid 200k wages or so, the Sky machine will pander to the public, saying that we are "ruining" football with obscene wages. And then we will see the tinpot club down the road spend millions in the transfer window, for the sake of "helping wee little Davie replace the Greatest Manager of All-Time".

It's a joke.

He's isn't it.

Xavi has a swagger to him .. like David Silva and Samir Nasri, he floats with the ball .. Kroos is a more mechanical player .. runs and passes a lot , but no guile and no mystique about him.

Kroos doesn't run.

He doesn't run at players, he runs away from them because he can't work in tight spaces. He treat the ball like a hot potato when under pressure.

People looked at these youtube compilations that distort the image of players. If you watch a youtube compilation of Fellaini or Carrick you'd think they're top players.

If you want to know about a player, watch him when playing against a difficult team.

Kroos has his weaknesses, but he is 24 and improving. Under pressure he is fine with the ball. He is not as good as Schweinsteiger, but he is still young. He needs to be more dynamic and better defensively. It's starting to look like he might not stay, but hopefully he does not go to United. I expect Bayern will keep him for an extra year whether he signs a new contract or not unless they get an amazing offer.

Well I'm farked then. Media reporting kroos won't mind going to the rags even without champions league football next season. Surely it's just a ploy to get a better deal?

Promising words from Pep
@FCBayernUpdate: Guardiola on @ToniKroos: "I told him I can make him an even better player. I hope I will have him many seasons."

What should he say different when he is asked?

It still does not mean that Kroos will stay - or will go. Actually Guardiola was telling nice things about Gomez before he was leaving, too. The situation is certainly different. But I do not see Toni Kroos going down with his wishes a lot - and I do not see the club offering him that what he wants either. If they would be somewhere near each other there would not be this theatre... You can tell that they are lengths apart...

How it works out we will see in a couple of months.

I can see him transfering to Manchester United - even if it means a year without CL football. He still has about 10 years to go in professional football and so one year without it does not mean much. When he came to Bayern he did not come to stay - him and his father planned for a big international career then - he even took extra english classes when he skipped out of school to only go for the professional career. At this time he was the big teen football star - that was before the "newer" talents like Götze made their way. I do not see him in Spain - his physique says England. And he is no type that prefers big city life.

Kroos would be a fool to go to United with Moyes in charge. The Old Trafford pitch does suit him, but Moyes is just not good enough. Going to Manchester United could mean several years without a trophy unless Moyes is fired.

A lot depends on the world cup and the remaining CL. It seems to me like Gundogan was Madrid's no 1 target, but his injury problems as well as Di Maria's form has changed their minds. Madrid want someone more energetic than Kroos and will probably go for Vidal/Pogba if they choose to sign anyone.

Barcelona though could be very keen to sign him.

Kroos needs to think long and hard about what he wants to do with his career and not just the money. His best fit would be Barca, staying at Bayern, possibly Madrid or even Dortmund. Any other move could leave him very rich, but having wasted his career.

Nice to see you have decided to get out of the Pellegrini thread repeating the same thing.
