Toni Kroos

Looking at this from a madrid point of view, are they not more likely to offload modric than kroos? Kroos is a deep sitting controller of the game and from what i've seen pogba likes to get forward and grab goals. It would make more sense from the madrid point of view to keep kroos and pogba and offload someone else, modric has been brilliant this last season for madrid, but he is the wrong side of 30 now.

Unless the financials of selling kroos facilitate the signing of pogba or something...

I'm not sure, since Zidane took over he has preferred Casemiro as his deepest midfielder, so if Pogba is brought in they could let Kroos go as he isn't going to be their deepest midfielder.

I think you are right. If Pogba comes to Real Kroos is the most likely player to loose his place. Modric and Casemiro are both more important for Real.

If Kroos is so good, why the fuck would Real Madrid get rid of him so easily ?

If they need money for Pogba, they will just try to sell Isco & Rodriguez, neither of whom they really need, surely ? Or are people claiming Kroos plays like Pogba ?

I don't even get where the Kroos links come from. As for 'missing out' on him as a target. Fucking ridiculous. That's like saying we're missing out on Iniesta or Thiago etc. For us to 'miss out' he has to first of all become available. IF he becomes available & Pep wants him & he ends up at the Swamp or Chelsea THEN we have missed out. If he's at Real Madrid next season, he's at Real Madrid & nobody has 'missed out' on anything.

I don't get why people think Pogba is a replacement for Kroos. They are nothing alike whatsoever, hence why I would prefer Pogba, to do a different job.
This is how I feel about Laporte.

I don't think Casemiro is more important. He is more of a strategic change up than a mainstay. Modric was the key player, but he is getting up there in age and Kroos seem the most likely to become the next key cog in the middle as Modric's ability diminishrs with age in the next year or 2.

From a long-term standpoint, if Real were getting Pogba, Modric will be the likely to lose his position as he'd be 32 in 2 years, likely on the wane as Kroos and Pogba hit their peaks. If I were the manager, Id be keeping all 4 for now. Starting Pogba, Modric and Kroos in most games and sneaking in Casemiro for tough offensive challenges. And in about 2 years moving Modric on.

The notion that there is a reason to move Kroos, seems misplaced. But lets hope I'm wrong :)

He is just one of, if not the best, ball manipulators in the world right now
He makes ridiculous diagonals look like customary every day passes that he could do in his sleep..

Watching him now, albeit against NI, however these are the kind of games we will be involved in within the course of the next few years under pep; and he is absolutely running the game

Pipe dream for me as I cant see any club (even Real), stupid enough to let him go

That's fine but Gundogan moves the ball around fine & also runs about. I really don't understand why we need a specialist player to do a little bit more in that respect when we already have a whole bunch of quality 'ball manipulators' including Yaya Toure.

His contribution for Germany right now, against a team of troglodytes, is Gareth Barry without the defensive ability.

Im not sure if you're being serious to be fair mate.
You cant ever have enough excellent technical footballers in midfield nowadays, particularly under Pep....

For you to say we dont even need one more to do 'a little bit more' is borderline deluded.
We were utterly humiliated in CM in every single big game over the past 18 months... even in some games we won due to individual brilliance of a KDB or Aguero
Those who think only 1 central midfielder is enough are entitled to their opinion, but will be questioning whats going wrong when we still cant keep the ball

Where the fuck did I say we only need 1 central mid ? Can you find it please.

No it isn't an easy assumption to make, at all. It's a load of bollocks.

HAHA Ok. And your comparison of Toni Fucking Kroos to a less able Gareth Barry is intelligent then I guess?
Not sure why anybody would even bother replying to you after that kind of comment, so Im surprised I bit, as you cant really be serious as I said
Come on, come back and swear at me again and prove your point

I said, his contribution RIGHT NOW, vs Northern Ireland is basicallly Gareth Barry without the defending. That's been it so far. That doesn't mean he IS Gareth Barry. He is nowhere near the same class as Gareth Barry as a def mid & far better than Gareth Barry with the ball. A totally different player. But right now, he's playing square balls that Gelson Fernandes could do & shitting out of headers. That's been his contribution in this game.

He is a fantastic passer of the ball & a clever brain imo & that's it. I think Gundogan is a much superior player & imo I would rather have Modric & about 10 other players rather than Kroos, to balance City's midfield.

If Pep wants him then fair enough. I don't believe he does.

So Real activated Morata's buy back clause. Anyone else have the feeling they may also use him along with Kroos to get some funds for a move for Pogba and some other high profile signing?

Don't cry pal.
