Barca typically play two of Xavi/Iniesta/Fabregas/Thiago so I don't think we have anything to fear there.

Real on the other hand... but they do have a lot of midfielders and just bought Sahin.

I sort of understand the comment. It is surprising if none of the big two in Spain expressed an interest in him when he was available. And if they did (I can't remember to be honest!), it would be an unusual choice to pick us over them AT THAT TIME and at that stage of our ''project''.
