Its not just exporting jobs abroad though - nearly 10 years ago a huge Insurer "sold" off its internal claims investigation arm to an independent loss adjuster to save money ( wages, NI, pensions, vehicle provision etc ) - total absolute disaster. Claims costs escalated and the customer satisfaction plummeted. So much so they had to buy it back and take it all in-house again.
