Steve Perry was my #4 and Jon Anderson was in my 10. Bruce and Paul Rodgers would be in my top 20.

With the inclusion of Dio I am going to ask a question that will possibly bring me abuse. Though he won't feature in this list what do people make of Graham Bonnet as a singer?

Back in the day I remember expressing the opinion to my denim and patch wearing schoolmates that he might not look the part but he had a pretty good voice. Seem to remember their response to me was something along the lines of 'fuck off you two-tone wanker'.

All heavy metal vocalists sound pretty much alike to me and I voted for not a one of them, even though I do like the odd heavy metal album.
Like the “fuck off you two tone wanker” jibe by the way. Coming from the kind of small West Country town where bikers proliferate, I was occasionally on the receiving end of similar ’banter’ myself!

5 in now I think. Slightly concerned that my #1 isn't going to get a look in but then with 4 other votes for Levi Stubbs there are clearly people of discernment on this forum so there is hope :-)

Full of surprises these charts. Tom Jones down in 74, Mick Jagger in 62 and I’m staggered that neither Art Garfunkel nor Roy Orbison has made the top 10.

I would imagine we’ve got John Lennon, Elvis, Otis Redding, Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury and Frank Sinatra, still to come, but I’m struggling as regards the other 4. I had Eric Burden in mine and he doesn’t look like he’s gonna break the top 100

No Chris Cornell yet, unless he only got my vote
