Top 105 Guitarists - The Winner page 33

The man is a bloody genius and should be in everyones top ten for everything. (Not Blackmore who wrote a couple of decent riffs and forged a career on the back of them) ;-)

Puts tin helmet on and files Blackmore next to The Who.
Listening to Sign O' The Times all the way through for the Top 1100 albums thread proved to me once and for all that Prince is not for everyone.

Someone who's not made it onto the list who I think is a criminally underrated guitarist is Jonny Greenwood. Not only is a lot of his stuff deceptively difficult to play (the stretch on the Jigsaw Falling Into Place riff kills my wrist) but he's incredibly creative as an all round musician.

Could have sworn it was Richard.
After the Rolling Stones signed to Decca Records in 1963, the band's manager, Andrew Loog Oldham, dropped the s from Richards's surname, believing that Keith Richard, in his words, "looked more pop". During the late 1970s, Richards re-established the s in his surname

Blackmore not in my list because I don't listen to him enough but I've always admired his breadth and interest in music, I've never been sure if the persona and the pointy hats et al are just a piss take on his part or a way of creating a shell that protects his privacy but either way I've always quite liked that fact he had/has the ability to do something pretty niche for his own pleasure at the same time as being very capable of knocking out a mainstream banger.
