Top 105 Guitarists - The Winner page 33

Someone who's not made it onto the list who I think is a criminally underrated guitarist is Jonny Greenwood. Not only is a lot of his stuff deceptively difficult to play (the stretch on the Jigsaw Falling Into Place riff kills my wrist) but he's incredibly creative as an all round musician.

I'm a huge Radiohead fan but for some reason didn't consider him. I'm not sure why on reflection. I think your last sentence sums it up - a brilliant musician and they've experimented so much with their music that the guitar isn't the "lead" instrument in a lot of their more recent stuff, but both he and Yorke are brilliant guitarists/musicians all round.

JMs got to be #1. A City fan, iconic Manc band around when a large part of manc bluemooners were teenagers. Oh,and he's fucking amazing !!!

I wouldn't be that surprised if he was, for all three of the reasons you mentioned. It will kick off if he's top! Not a conventional virtuoso but innovative and fundamental to a much loved band.

Prince solo near the end and finger work, he should be higher than 19 but there are so many great guitarists I can’t wait for the top five that I’ve missed

Eric Clapton brilliant rendition of Danny Boy I never get tired of listening to it, it’s always in the back of my mind.

It will kick off. I for one will burn
