Just catching up on the thread, got 5 in so far but think I'll only have one more now. I always knew that Horse Macdonald wasn't going to make the list but I'm a bit miffed that Alison Krauss is nowhere to be seen on it.

But what a great list this is, the average Bluemooner's good taste clearly extends beyond our football team.

It also struck me how lucky we now are to have so much fantastic music so easily accessible these days. Been listening to lots of great artists on the list who I either couldn't fit in list or simply forgot about despite in many cases having seen them live over the years. I put some Lucinda Williams on, which in turn made me think about Shawn Colvin and on it goes...

Thanks for this @Protein Junkie, it's hugely enjoyable. Really looking forward to the top 10.

Edit: Not sure how I missed the fact Alison Krauss was in there after all (still too low though!).

Ann Wilson was my #2. As I have commeted before elsewhere, she is the female Robert Plant.

Sheryl Crow and Chrissie Hynde were on my list too.

Ms Ross wasn't on my list but I did "meet" her when she accompanied Gene Simmons on KISS' 1980 UK tour.

Ann Wilson made my list even though I'm not particularly a fan of Heart per se, she is just an outstanding singer and age has not diminished her. The female Robert Plant is a good way of putting it.

I would’ve thought Ms Ross had better things to do back then too; not that meeting you didn’t rock her world of course …
Was that not a strong time for her, the Upside Down album etc?

I'm glad Ella got into the Top 15, she had a great voice!

I'm hoping Kate Bush, Aretha Franklin, Annie Lennox, Stevie Nicks, Debbie Harry, Siouxsie Sioux make the Top 10 then i'll have all my picks :-)

That tells its own tale she won 3 Trophies at the Brit awards and No 58 in our poll bless her I think the young ones vote in the brits and we don’t have so many on here
