Why have the button if you can't have it buttoned?

No ones said you can't mate.

But on a waistcoat at a wedding, you leave the bottom one undone, so its happens in other situations as well

Yeah I leave the bottom button on my suit undone, but don't mind if blokes buttion it.

Which is fair enough. Just a year ago there would not be many people buttoning up to the top and now there are loads doing it.

Do you do it? Have you always done it?

I don't know the answer but it has been doing my head in. It doesn't even look good. Just gay.

Gay.
Surely these buttons have been made and stitched to the shirt/polo to be buttoned up?
Sure, if you want to look like the grade-A student who nobody likes, or the bloke in the pub who looks well out of place and like he is there by force, rather than wanting to be there.
It's a ***** look for *****.

Proper blokes wear the top button undone.

Proper blokes dress how they like. And proper blokes don't get in a hissy it over a button.
I like it with certain Polo tops it goes. With others it doesn't.

Only blokes who do up their top button use the word 'hissy' and only blokes who do it on some tops but not others say 'hissy fit'.
