Top man - well done Milner...

i thought milner was having one of those days where everything he tried didnt seem to fall for him, saying that i still think he played quite well on the whole, his work rate makes him stand out for me anyway

oh come on people, he was tired after training with england playing both full matches, then going striaght back to city then training again then another full game, what do you expect of the lad man, mancini should of took him off because he was tired. hes a class player and if mancini plays him in the position villa did then he will be great. i hate it when he puts him on the left wing

had an average game dont see what the big fuss was for us to sign him i do not feel he will get much game time.
if you look at our squad and if we use the 4 4 2 or 4 3 3 option as 4 5 1 doesnt seem to be working, the midfield will most likely de jong yaya and barry (4 3 3) with obviously attacking players up front tevez silva/johnson balotelli. 4 4 2 will most likely be 2 attacking wingers silva and johnson leaving a toss up between yaya barry and nige in the centre and will most likely have tevez and balloteli/adebayor upfront.

i really dont think there is room for milner in this squad.

i will no doubt get a lot of stick for saying this

Disagree with you mate, personally feel Milner will be the mainstay of our midfield for many years alongside AJ.

I agree, Milner wasn't quite at it on Saturday. Mis-controlling a lot of balls and his passing wasn't great. But at no point did he give up running to make himself available to be passed to or on the defensive side. Next week he'll be back on form and coupled with his work rate hopefully will win us our first game at the DW!

Come on lads, we are still a work in progress.
How can people judge him so early in the season.
I believe he will be a cracking player for us and lets
see what we all think of him next May when the team
have had time to gel, please.

it was just one of those days for the lad!!worked his balls off and never stopped trying to make something happen!! compare this to the lad who went in the other directions attitude last year!!!

He seems to apply himself well and has very good attitude, but like all English talent he doesn't posses the technique yet to become a top Midfielder.

Worked his bollocks off, kept his head up when things didn't go right. This lad has the right attitude, once he's settled in he'll be a top signing for us.
